Product Reviews

On 11/03/2016 Formicum CEO Gunther Bigl was invited for discussions in the North-Rhine-Westphalia Wachtberg. The reason for this visit was the planned launch of a new hybrid 2D-3D-Scanner. The “3D Photostation” is the latest invention of CRUSE. Previously known as a market leader in the 2D area with self-developed large format scanner like the CRUSE “ST-Series” or the CRUSE “Wall scanner”, the scanner specialist is now producing for the third dimension.

“The CRUSE 3D-Photostation will capture the online trading and muddle the market for product photography” says Gunther Bigl, CEO of the company Formicum from Leipzig.   “Due to the high degree of automation the customer can create product photos, 360-degree animations with a number of levels, as well as full 3D color models for an unbeatable price” so Bigl.

Together, Formicum and CRUSE will be represented on the RapidTech/FabCon 3D 2016 exhibition (14th – 16th June) in Erfurt and present the 3D Photostation.

Expected at the beginning of June 2016, the CRUSE 3D Photostation can be seen at Formicum in Leipzig.

With the unique CRUSE Fine Art Scanner, it is now possible, to reproduce art originals in a way, such as artists and gallery owners have long awaited.

I decided to work with a CRUSE scanner, for the reason that the results of the scanned originals are very close to the original.
The brushwork and impasto paint spread are reproduced to the smallest detail. The structures of the materials are shown visibly.

The quality of CRUSE Fine Art scanner lead to a unique reproduction of the originals.

The operation of the software is very simple and clear. I use the scanner more than 10 years now and I am still very happy with the results (report) which I will later print as an art print, canvas print or on aluminum.

The focus of my company is on the high excellent reproduction of paintings, graphics, archival materials, motifs for the decor industry and more in comparable reproduction quality. The reproductions are made on the CRUSE Scanner 285 ST. The CRUSE scanner has a document table of 150 x 225cm. With the perfect illumination of the CRUSE, it is possible to obtain a maximum of depth of focus, which reduces rework to a minimum.
